Question:
What means "Synchronise control block" ?
Answer:
Since some years Bosch uses two identical data blocks in truck ECUs to improve
the reliability. At start the ECU checks, if the data block and its copy are
identical. If not the engine will not start.
The similar ECUs for agriculture machines doesn't have this function.
Therefore the OLS290 checksum module has now got the option to enable and
disable the synchronising of these blocks. At start of the checksum search the
plugin checks, if the control block is present. If yes, the option line
"Synchronise control block" is displayed.
If data and control block are identical, the checkbox is marked. Otherwise it
remains empty.
This setting of the checkbox can be overwritten by the user.
